It has only been a few days since the outbreak of the novel Rabid virus in Southern Florida, and already riots plague every major city in the country. Officer Derrick Hart, along with the rest of the Birmingham Police Department, struggle against criminals day and night in order to keep the city safe.

The violence is getting worse, and fewer officers show up for duty each day.

The National Guard is moving into the city. Legislation is being passed that criminalizes escaping the city.

Is the city beyond saving? Should Derrick flee the city while he still can?
